"Open Your Eyes" is a theatrical production based on two short stories by Olga Tokarczuk: "Open Your Eyes, You're Already Dead" and "Dress Rehearsal".

In "Open Your Eyes, You're Already Dead," a woman bored by the monotony of life and the predictability of classic detective novels picks up a book that promises more than just the answer to who committed the murder. The action unfolds in an old manor house, where a famous crime novelist invites a group of writers to play a parlor game called "Murder." With each page, the boundary between fiction and reality blurs, the players swap roles, and the greatest mystery turns out to be not the identity of the killer, but who is actually writing this story.

"Dress Rehearsal" tells of two men unexpectedly trapped in their own apartment. What has happened - war, pandemic, environmental contamination, or the end of the world? The outside world reaches them in fragments of radio broadcasts and unconfirmed speculation. When they invite their downstairs neighbors, it becomes clear that those neighbors know just as little and are equally afraid. Confined within four walls, they analyze their past lives and together try to prepare for the approaching catastrophe.

In both cases, the ordinary proves to be a fleeting state, fragile and susceptible to disruption - whether through the actions of the characters or despite their will.
