Art at the Centre / LEONARDO DA VINCI

About a mysterious lady, a man transformed into an ermine, a devil, and a dinner where eel in oranges was served - in other words, about Leonardo da Vinci and the people hidden in his works. This will be the theme of the next lecture in the Art at the Centre series.

The series explores the most famous artists - their biographies, the characters in their paintings and sculptures, and the objects, colours, and abstractions that inspire wonder, controversy, or sadness. Meetings take place at the International Congress Centre in Katowice, within the Culture Zone.

Led by Katarzyna Czapla-Durska, an art historian and graduate of art history from the University of Silesia and semiological studies "Symbolism in World Cultures" from the Papal University of John Paul II in Kraków. For nearly 10 years she has run the "Artmaking" project for seniors in collaboration with the Pedagogical Provincial Library and the Silesian Theatre. She also conducts classes for various age groups and lectures commissioned as corporate benefits.
