All of Shakespeare's Works // Teatr Scena Współczesna

A cult classic production of "All of Shakespeare's Works" directed by Włodzimierz Kaczkowski - running continuously for over 27 years, with more than 2,400 performances in Warsaw alone.

Three actors - Jarosław Domin, Łukasz Matecki and Bartek Głogowski - juggle quotations, plot summaries and references to stereotypical Shakespeare knowledge to present all 37 of his dramas in a humorous condensed form. The programme includes a hip-hop "Othello", "Macbeth" in highland style, a three-minute "Hamlet" and "Romeo and Juliet" performed entirely by men.

Audience members are actively drawn into the action by the actors. The show mocks not so much Shakespeare himself as the patterns of mass culture that exploit his work.
