American Football is a rock band from Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, formed in 1997. Their sound blends emo, math rock and post-rock, built around interlocking guitar lines and introspective lyrics. After releasing their debut album in 1999 the band split up, then reunited in 2014 and has since put out two more studio records.
