Bausa (born Julian Otto in 1989 in Saarbrücken, raised in Bietigheim-Bissingen near Stuttgart) is a German rapper, singer and songwriter whose 2017 single "Was du Liebe nennst" spent eight consecutive weeks at number one in Germany and also topped the Austrian charts - the first German rap track ever to receive diamond certification. He blends trap and cloud rap with melodic hooks and plays guitar and piano, writing and producing in his own studio. His debut album Dreifarbenhaus (2017) broke into the German top 10, and he has since built a reputation for prolific collaborations across the Deutschrap scene.
Bausa released his fifth studio album Der Faktor Mensch on July 11, 2025 via Warner Music Germany, entering the German Albums Chart at peak position #84.
The lead single "Der Faktor Mensch" was released on May 23, 2025, with a music video directed by Lucas Siehl.
Bausa announced the Tournado 2026 headline tour, with confirmed dates including Frankfurt, Hamburg, Vienna and Zürich.
Bausa won the ProSieben game show Schlag den Star in February 2024, defeating actor Emilio Sakraya with a score of 74-31.
