About

Bedsore are a progressive death metal band from Rome, Italy, active since 2018. Founded by guitarist/vocalist Jacopo Gianmaria Pepe and Stefano Allegretti, they blend old-school death metal with 1970s progressive rock, mellotron, and cinematic horror atmospheres drawn from Italian giallo film culture. Their debut Hypnagogic Hallucinations (2020, 20 Buck Spin) made a strong impression in the underground, and the sophomore record Dreaming the Strife for Love (2024) landed on multiple year-end best-of lists. In October 2025 the band signed to Season of Mist and expanded to a six-piece lineup.
