Breaking Benjamin is an American hard rock band from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, built around vocalist and guitarist Benjamin Burnley since 1999. Their post-grunge and alternative metal sound - heavy riffs, swelling choruses, introspective lyrics - drove six studio albums and over 19 million units sold in the US alone. After a hiatus caused by Burnley's health issues and internal legal disputes, the band reformed in 2014 with a new lineup and returned to the top of the charts with Dark Before Dawn (2015, #1 Billboard 200) and Ember (2018). In October 2024 they signed with BMG and released 'Awaken', the lead single from their long-awaited seventh studio album.
