Candy Dulfer & Band - The Park 2026
Dutch saxophonist Candy Dulfer and her band perform at The Park 2026 festival in Leverkusen.
Candy Dulfer (born 19 September 1969, Amsterdam) is a Dutch alto saxophonist whose funk- and R&B-driven sound has made her one of Europe's most recognisable jazz artists. The daughter of jazz saxophonist Hans Dulfer, she picked up the instrument at six and led her own band, Funky Stuff, by fourteen. Her 1990 debut album Saxuality earned a Grammy nomination and sold over a million copies worldwide; subsequent collaborations with Prince - including a permanent spot in his Musicology tour band - and with Dave Stewart on the global number-one hit "Lily Was Here" cemented her international reputation. In 2021 she received the Edison Jazz Lifetime Achievement Award, the Netherlands' most prestigious jazz honour.
Dulfer headlined Umbria Jazz 2025 and continued her Hot Summer Funk Tour across Europe.
Dulfer's summer 2025 European tour included dates in Kassel, Lugano, Brno, Nuremberg and Perugia.
Dulfer's autumn 2025 tour brought her to Poland, with concerts in Kraków, Wrocław and Ostrów Wielkopolski.
Dulfer toured globally on her 'We Funk Harder 2024' world tour, playing festival and club stages across Europe, Japan and the USA.
Dulfer received the Edison Jazz Lifetime Achievement Award, the most prestigious jazz honour in the Netherlands.
