Austrian singer Christina Stürmer performs on the open-air stage in Linz.
Christina Stürmer (born 9 June 1982 in Linz, Austria) is a pop-rock singer and songwriter who broke through as runner-up on the ORF talent show Starmania in 2003. Her debut single "Ich lebe" topped the Austrian charts for nine weeks, and she went on to release seven number-one albums across Austria and Germany. With eleven Amadeus Austrian Music Awards and over two million records sold, she ranks among the most successful German-language artists of her generation.
Stürmer announced her 2026 "Es wird wieder laut" tour - three exclusive electric shows in Linz, Kufstein and Vienna - marking her return to full-band format after two years of Unplugged touring.
Her album "MTV Unplugged in Wien" was released in March 2024, recorded at Vienna's Volkstheater; it reached number one in Austria.
Stürmer became the first German-speaking female artist invited by MTV to record an Unplugged album, filming the sessions at Vienna's Volkstheater in August 2023.
