About

Stiff Little Fingers are a punk rock band from Belfast, Northern Ireland, formed in 1977 at the height of the Troubles. Their 1979 debut Inflammable Material - the first independent album to reach the UK Top 20 - set the template for politically charged punk with songs drawn directly from life under sectarian conflict. Singer and guitarist Jake Burns is the one constant across all line-ups; the current band also includes original bassist Ali McMordie, drummer Steve Grantley and guitarist Ian McCallum. After splitting in 1982 and reforming in 1987, they have toured relentlessly ever since.
