Stefan Kozalla, born 1972 in Flensburg and based in Hamburg, records and performs as DJ Koze - a producer whose work cuts across house, techno, psychedelic pop and hip-hop without settling in any one of them. He first gained wider recognition through his Kompakt releases and a string of career-defining remixes, then broke through internationally with the album Amygdala (2013) and consolidated that reputation with knock knock (2018). In 2023 he produced Róisín Murphy's critically acclaimed Hit Parade, and in April 2025 he released his fourth studio album Music Can Hear Us, his first solo LP in seven years.
