German electronic duo Modeselektor performs at Kalif Storch club.
Modeselektor is a Berlin electronic duo - Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary - who have been shaping club music since the mid-1990s. Starting out on Ellen Allien's BPitch Control label, they later founded their own Monkeytown Records and built a catalogue that cuts across techno, IDM, electro, hip-hop and bass music. Their collaboration with Apparat as Moderat became one of the most celebrated projects in European electronic music, selling out arenas worldwide. Thom Yorke of Radiohead is among their most prominent collaborators, appearing on multiple albums.
Modeselektor released 'Classics Vol. 1' on Monkeytown Records on 6 March 2026, an 8-track album that reimagines material from their first two albums using original stems.
The duo released their edition of the long-running !K7 mix series, 'DJ-Kicks: Modeselektor', on 12 September 2025, featuring exclusive new tracks and the debut of their Kitschselektor side-project.
Around the time of the DJ-Kicks release, Bronsert and Szary moved into a new studio, ending a long period working above Berlin's KitKatClub in Mitte.
Modeselektor are scheduled to perform at Sónar festival in Barcelona and at Hurricane and Southside festivals in Germany in June 2026.
The duo are booked for Tomorrowland Belgium (17-26 July 2026) and a standalone show in Guadalajara, Mexico on 9 July 2026.
