About

Drowning Pool is an American hard rock and nu-metal band from Dallas, Texas, formed in 1996 by guitarist C.J. Pierce, drummer Mike Luce, and bassist Stevie Benton. Their 2001 debut album Sinner - featuring the anthemic single "Bodies" - went platinum within six weeks and made them one of the defining acts of early-2000s heavy rock. After the death of original vocalist Dave Williams in 2002, the band continued with a series of singers; Ryan McCombs, who first fronted the group from 2005 to 2011, rejoined in 2023 and has been recording and touring with them since.
