Malta Festival 2026: CONCERTS
Malta Festival 2026 features international artists including Efterklang, King No-One, Devendra Banhart, MARO, The Blessed Madonna, HAAi and The Blaze. A musical experience on the MTP stage in Poznań.
Efterklang is a Danish art pop and indie rock trio from Copenhagen, formed in December 2000 by childhood friends Casper Clausen, Mads Brauer, and Rasmus Stolberg. The band built a devoted European following across seven studio albums, moving from glitchy IDM-inflected chamber pop to lush orchestral arrangements and, more recently, a spare, introspective sound. Their 2012 album Piramida - recorded at an abandoned Soviet coal-mining settlement on Svalbard - remains a landmark of the genre, while their 2024 release Things We Have In Common marks a new chapter shaped by themes of collective belonging and spirituality.
Efterklang released their seventh studio album 'Things We Have In Common' on September 27, 2024 via City Slang, featuring guest appearances by Mabe Fratti, Zach Condon (Beirut), and the South Denmark Girls Choir.
The documentary 'Efterklang: The Makedonium Band', directed by Andreas Johnsen and chronicling the band's 2023 concert in North Macedonia, became available to stream worldwide.
Efterklang traveled to North Macedonia to assemble a band of local musicians and perform in front of the Monument of Freedom in just one week, an event later immortalized in a documentary film.
Efterklang announced a concert in Sofia, Bulgaria on April 30, 2025 as part of the 'Things We Have In Common' tour - their first appearance in the country since 2013.
Efterklang played 47 concerts in 2025, continuing the extensive 'Things We Have In Common' world tour.
