About
Apparat is the solo project of Berlin-based producer and musician Sascha Ring (born 1978, Quedlinburg), active since the mid-1990s. His music moves between ambient electronics, modular textures and orchestral instrumentation, earning him a Grammy nomination for the 2019 album LP5. Alongside his solo work, Ring co-founded the electro-pop trio Moderat with Modeselektor, and composed the theme for the Netflix series Dark - a track that has since become one of the most-streamed pieces of contemporary electronic music.
