Garou (born Pierre Garand on June 26, 1972, in Sherbrooke, Quebec) is a French-Canadian singer who rose to international fame playing Quasimodo in the musical Notre-Dame de Paris from 1998. His debut solo album Seul (2000) sold close to three million copies worldwide and topped the French charts for five weeks, while the duet "Sous le vent" with Céline Dion became his third French number-one single. Over a career spanning more than 25 years he has sold around 10 million records globally and served as a coach on the French version of The Voice.
Garou released "Un meilleur lendemain", his first album written entirely by himself, in May 2025 - his first songwriter album after 12 years.
Garou announced a 2026 solo tour of France, Belgium and Luxembourg with over 30 dates, performing alone on stage with piano and guitar.
