Vanessa Paradis (born 22 December 1972) is a French singer, actress and model who became an international star at 14 with "Joe le taxi" (1987) - a song that topped the charts in France for 11 weeks and reached the top three in the UK. Across four decades she has balanced a recording career with acclaimed film roles, earning a César for her debut in Noce Blanche (1989) and a Canadian Genie Award for Café de Flore (2011). Since 1991 she has been the face of Chanel's Coco fragrance, a partnership initiated by Karl Lagerfeld, and holds both the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres and the Légion d'honneur.
Vanessa Paradis released her eighth studio album Le retour des beaux jours on 10 October 2025, produced with Étienne Daho and Jean-Louis Piérot and recorded at Abbey Road in London.
A French tour in support of the new album is scheduled to run from March to November 2026.
Paradis posted a studio photo captioned "Studio - April 2025" on Instagram, sparking widespread speculation about the then-upcoming album.
In an October 2024 interview with Gala magazine, Paradis confirmed she was preparing her eighth album with label Barclay.
Paradis attended the opening ceremony of the Festival Lumière 2024 in Lyon, where she gave a masterclass.
