Gus G (born Kostas Karamitroudis) is a Greek heavy metal guitarist from Thessaloniki, best known as the founder and driving force of power metal band Firewind, with whom he has released ten studio albums over more than two decades. From 2009 to 2017 he served as lead guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne, appearing on the Grammy-nominated album Scream (2010). Alongside Firewind, he maintains an active solo career and has guested on records by Bruce Dickinson, Doro Pesch, Arch Enemy and others.
Gus G released his fifth solo album 'Steel Burner' on April 24, 2026 via Metal Department Records, featuring guest vocalists Doro Pesch, Matt Barlow, Ronnie Romero and Dino Jelusick.
The 'Steel Burner' album was announced in February 2026, described as Gus G's first solo release in five years, blending instrumental metal with vocal collaborations.
