Hubert von Goisern (born Hubert Achleitner, 17 November 1952 in Bad Goisern, Austria) is a singer-songwriter and world musician who fuses Alpine folk traditions with rock, blues, and global influences. He rose to fame in the early 1990s with the Alpinkatzen and the hit "Hiatamadl", and is widely credited as the founding figure of the Alpenrock genre. Over four decades he has toured across Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Asia, and has won multiple Amadeus Austrian Music Awards including a Lifetime Achievement award in 2024.
