About

I Killed The Prom Queen are an Australian metalcore band from Adelaide, formed in 2001. Their 2006 album "Music for the Recently Deceased" (Metal Blade Records, produced by Fredrik Nordström) broke them internationally, and the 2014 comeback record "Beloved" reached #6 on the ARIA Albums Chart. The band is widely credited with helping shape the early metalcore scene in Australia - Parkway Drive and Bring Me The Horizon are among the acts who cite them as a direct influence. After years of inactivity, the founding lineup reunited in 2025 for a 25th anniversary run.
