Ian Pooley (born Ian Pinnekamp in 1973 in Mainz) is a German DJ and producer whose career stretches back to 1991, when he and DJ Tonka released the Low Mass EP on Frankfurt's Force Inc. label. His sound draws on Chicago and Detroit house, Brazilian rhythms, jazz and soul - a blend that shaped two landmark albums, Meridian (1998) and Since Then (2000), and earned him the rare distinction of remixing Daft Punk while having them remix him in return. He runs his own imprint Pooledmusic and has played everywhere from Panoramabar to Glastonbury.
Ian Pooley released a 25th anniversary vinyl reissue of his 2000 album Since Then on his own Pooledmusic label - the first time the record has appeared on vinyl.
Pooley reissued the classic 1997 single "Higgledy Piggledy!" on Pooledmusic, framing it as the start of a series revisiting key moments from his back catalogue.
