Internal Bleeding is an American death metal band from Long Island, New York, active since 1991. Alongside Suffocation and Pyrexia, they are credited with pioneering slam death metal - a subgenre built on slow, crushing breakdown riffs - and their 1995 debut Voracious Contempt is widely regarded as the genre's blueprint. After disbanding in 2005, they reunited in 2011 and have continued releasing records, most recently Settle All Scores (2025) on Maggot Stomp.
