About

James Ruskin is a Croydon-born DJ and producer, active since the early 1990s and widely regarded as one of the defining figures of British underground techno. In 1996 he co-founded Blueprint Records with Richard Polson, a label that has shaped the UK techno sound through releases by Surgeon, Oliver Ho, Regis, Truncate and many others. Alongside his solo work on Blueprint and Berlin's Tresor, he records as O/V/R with Karl O'Connor (Regis) and as The Fear Ratio with Mark Broom.

    Ruskin is releasing a remastered 2xLP edition of his 1998 debut album 'Further Design' on 4 September 2026 via Blueprint Records, marking the label's 30th anniversary.
