Kora

About

Kora (born Olga Aleksandra Ostrowska, 8 June 1951, Kraków - 28 July 2018) was a Polish rock vocalist, lyricist and poet, best known as the frontwoman of Maanam, the band she led from 1976 to 2008. Her raw, fearless stage presence and sharp, often provocative lyrics made her one of the defining voices of Polish new wave and rock, and she remains a cultural icon decades after Maanam's heyday.
