Lydia Lunch is an American musician, poet and writer who emerged from the New York no wave scene in the late 1970s. She fronted the band Teenage Jesus and the Jerks and has since released a large body of solo work spanning spoken word, noise rock and post-punk. Her performances often blur the line between music and confrontational spoken word.
