About

Max Bruch (1838-1920) was a German Romantic composer and conductor, best known for his Violin Concerto No. 1 in G minor. Beyond orchestral music, he wrote extensively for voices and choir. His oratorio Odysseus (1872), for soloists, chorus and orchestra, stands as one of the most ambitious works in his choral output.
