About

Michael Patrick Kelly (born 5 December 1977 in Dublin) is an Irish-American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, known for his four-octave voice and a career that spans two very different chapters. He first came to international attention in the 1990s as a member of the folk-pop family act The Kelly Family, then stepped away from music entirely to spend six years as a brother of the Order of St. John in a Burgundy monastery. Since returning to the stage around 2010, he has built a substantial solo catalogue - including the gold- and platinum-selling albums Human (2015), iD (2017) and B.O.A.T.S (2022) - and established himself as one of the most consistent live draws in the German-speaking world.
