Moby (born Richard Melville Hall, 1965) is an American musician, producer and DJ whose work spans electronic dance music, techno and ambient. His 1999 album Play became one of the best-selling electronic records of all time, with over 20 million copies sold worldwide. Beyond music, he is a committed vegan and animal rights activist, and has channelled tour profits directly to animal welfare organisations. His 23rd studio album, Future Quiet, was released in February 2026 via BMG.
