Mumiy Troll
Mumiy Troll takes the stage at Letnia Scena Progresji. The Russian band returns with a concert full of hits about love and dreams.
Mumiy Troll is a Russian rock band founded on 16 October 1983 in Vladivostok by vocalist and songwriter Ilya Lagutenko. Their 1997 debut album Morskaya - recorded in London and released after Lagutenko returned from years working in China and the UK - triggered a wave of "Mumiy-mania" across Russia and made them one of the country's most influential rock acts. The band coined the genre term "rockapops", represented Russia at Eurovision 2001, and were the first Russian artist to air on MTV Russia with the video for "Vladivostok 2000". Since 2022 they have been based outside Russia and perform exclusively on international tours.
Multiple Russian concert agencies confirmed in March 2025 that Mumiy Troll had definitively stopped accepting performance offers in Russia.
In April 2025 the band played concerts in London (Scala) and Haarlem, Netherlands, continuing their European touring.
In January 2025, frontman Ilya Lagutenko lost his Los Angeles home to the California wildfires.
In 2022, following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the band posted an anti-war statement and suspended concerts in Russia.
As of mid-2025, upcoming tour dates include Riga and Los Angeles.
