Roger Cicero (6 July 1970 - 24 March 2016) was a Berlin-born German jazz and pop singer, son of Romanian jazz pianist Eugen Cicero. He built his reputation performing swing in German - a deliberate choice that helped bring the genre to a mainstream audience - and broke through nationally with his debut album "Männersachen" (2006), which sold over a million copies. He represented Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 in Helsinki and went on to release six more studio albums before his death from a stroke at age 45.
The documentary film "Cicero - Zwei Leben, eine Bühne" about Roger and his father Eugen Cicero was released on DVD/CD, earning the German Film Rating Board's "particularly valuable" distinction.
The official soundtrack to the documentary, released on IN+OUT Records, included six previously unreleased recordings by Eugen and Roger Cicero.
Warner Music released a posthumous compilation "The English Album" featuring Roger Cicero's English-language recordings.
Roger Cicero died on 24 March 2016 from an ischemic stroke in Hamburg, aged 45; his death was made public on 29 March 2016.
