A stage show celebrating Roger Whittaker's greatest hits - a musical evening full of beloved, timeless melodies.
Roger Whittaker (22 March 1936 - 13 September 2023) was a Kenyan-born British singer-songwriter, recognised for his warm baritone, guitar playing and trademark whistling across a career spanning five decades. He sold an estimated 50-60 million records worldwide, with hits including "The Last Farewell", "Durham Town" and "New World in the Morning". In Germany he became a fixture of the Schlager scene, recording phonetically learned German-language albums from 1979 onward and touring the country regularly until 2007. He died in the south of France at the age of 87.
A Roger Whittaker - Stereoact Hitmix single was released in 2025, keeping his music active in the German-language market.
An "Anthology" compilation and a Stereoact remix of "Ein bisschen Aroma" were released in 2024, extending his posthumous catalogue.
Roger Whittaker died on 13 September 2023 in the south of France at the age of 87, following a lengthy illness; his death was announced jointly by his family and Sony Music.
After his death, tributes poured in from Kenya, where his 1982 song "My Land is Kenya" is regularly broadcast on television during national holidays.
