Royal Republic
Swedish rock band Royal Republic performs in Dortmund.
Royal Republic is a Swedish rock quartet from Malmö, formed in 2007, consisting of Adam Grahn (vocals/guitar), Hannes Irengård (guitar), Jonas Almén (bass) and Per Andreasson (drums). Their sound blends classic rock'n'roll with glam and power-pop energy, built around Grahn's charismatic stage presence. The band broke through internationally with the debut album "We Are the Royal" (2009/2010) and has since released six studio albums, the latest being "LoveCop" (2024), produced at Berlin's legendary Hansa Studios. They are signed to Universal Music and managed by Odyssey Music Network.
Royal Republic released "Go West" (a Village People cover) in November 2025, marking the final installment of their fictional death-metal alter-ego project The Blastbeaters.
The Blastbeaters EP - a four-track collection of rock-reimagined pop covers recorded under the band's fictional death-metal persona - was released on 13 June 2025.
In 2025, Royal Republic released a series of four cover song videos dressed as a fictional death-metal band called The Blastbeaters, covering tracks including "Venus", "I'm So Excited", "Stayin' Alive" and "Go West".
The sixth studio album "LoveCop" was released worldwide on 7 June 2024, produced by Adam Grahn and Michael Ilbert at Hansa Studios in Berlin.
Royal Republic officially announced their sixth studio album "LoveCop" on 9 February 2024 with the release of the title track.
