Skáld is a French Nordic folk collective founded in 2018 by producer Christophe Voisin-Boisvinet, performing almost entirely in Old Norse and other Nordic languages. Drawing on medieval instruments - lyres, talharpa, shamanic drums, horns and Nordic fiddles - alongside polyphonic and guttural vocal techniques, the group brings Viking-age skaldic poetry to contemporary audiences. Their debut album Vikings Chant (2019) was released via Universal/Decca; three studio albums followed, and in June 2026 the band signed with Napalm Records ahead of their fourth album Ørlǫg (September 2026).

The band launched a North American tour in June-July 2026, covering cities from Denver to Vancouver, before returning to Europe for summer festival dates.
Skáld are confirmed as special guests on The HU's UK and European headline tour in autumn 2026, spanning 23 cities across nine countries.
Skáld collaborated with Bulgarian folk-electronic act KAIRA on the single "Мертва стая (Ethno vers.)", released January 20, 2025.
