Faun - 25 Years of Faun Tour 2026
Faun marks 25 years on stage with a special anniversary tour. An evening of neo-folk and medieval music at the Kasemattenbühne in Graz.
Faun is a German pagan folk band founded in Munich in 1998 by Oliver S. Tyr, whose music blends medieval and pre-Christian traditions with darkwave and electronic elements. Singing in a dozen languages - from Middle High German and Latin to Old Norse and Greek - the band plays instruments such as hurdy-gurdy, nyckelharpa, Celtic harp and bagpipes. Their 2013 album Von den Elben went platinum in Germany and broke them into the mainstream charts across the DACH region; subsequent releases Midgard and Luna each reached the German Top 5. In 2021 the band left Universal Music and launched their own label, Pagan Folk Records, releasing the chart-topping Pagan (2022) and the witchcraft-themed Hex (2025).
Faun announced their 12th studio album 'HEX', themed around witches and pre-Christian magic, for release on September 5, 2025.
The band released the single 'Lament' as the first preview of the upcoming album HEX.
Faun launched the World HEX Tour 2025, covering North America, Europe, the UK, and festival appearances including Midgardsblot and M'era Luna.
Alex Schulz joined Faun as the band's new percussionist in September 2023.
Faun released 'Pagan' on their own Pagan Folk Records label; the album debuted at No. 3 on the German album charts.
