Talla 2XLC (born Andreas Tomalla, 13 March 1963, Frankfurt) is a German DJ, producer and electronic music pioneer who has been active since the early 1980s. In 1984 he founded the Technoclub at Frankfurt's Dorian Gray club - one of the most influential electronic music venues in the world - and is widely credited as the first person to use the word 'techno' to describe electronic dance music. He is a co-founder of MOMEM (Museum of Modern Electronic Music) in Frankfurt and a regular headliner at major festivals including Nature One, World Club Dome and Parookaville. In 2010 he became the first musician to receive the Honorary Plaque of the City of Frankfurt for his cultural contributions.
