Tarrus Riley (born Omar Riley, April 26, 1981, Bronx, New York) is a Jamaican-American roots reggae singer and Rastafarian, raised in Jamaica as the son of veteran singer Jimmy Riley of the Uniques and Techniques. He broke through with the 2006 album Parables and its Jamaican chart-topper "She's Royal", going on to score a Billboard Reggae Albums #1 with Love Situation (2014) and a crossover hit on Major Lazer's "Powerful" alongside Ellie Goulding (2015). In 2023 the Jamaican government awarded him the Order of Distinction for his contribution to reggae music locally and internationally.
