The Dear Hunter
American progressive rock-metal band The Dear Hunter performs in Berlin.
The Dear Hunter is an American progressive rock band from Providence, Rhode Island, founded by singer and multi-instrumentalist Casey Crescenzo in 2005. The band built its reputation on a series of ambitious concept albums - the six-part 'Acts' saga - that weave a single semi-autobiographical narrative across orchestral arrangements, post-hardcore energy, and theatrical songwriting. Since 2021 they have been developing a second major story arc, 'The Indigo Child', with the latest chapter released as the album Sunya in March 2026.
The Dear Hunter released their new studio album Sunya on March 20, 2026, via Cave and Canary Goods, continuing the 'Indigo Child' story arc begun on 2022's Antimai.
The band announced 'The Road to Sunya' US summer tour for May, July, and August 2026, with support from Closure in Moscow and K Sera on select dates.
The first single from Sunya, 'The Glass Desert I - Giants', was released alongside an official music video ahead of the album.
The band released the North American EP in 2025, bridging the gap between touring activity and the Sunya album cycle.
Migrant Returned, a remixed and re-released version of the 2013 album Migrant, came out in 2023 to mark the record's tenth anniversary.
