The Wombats are a Liverpool-formed indie rock trio - Matthew 'Murph' Murphy, Tord Øverland Knudsen and Dan Haggis - who met at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts in 2003. They broke through with their 2007 debut 'A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation' and have since built one of British indie's most durable careers, topping the UK album chart in 2022 with 'Fix Yourself, Not the World' and accumulating over 2.5 billion streams. Their sixth album 'Oh! The Ocean' (2025) marks a new sonic chapter, recorded in Los Angeles with producer John Congleton.
