About

Maxïmo Park are a British indie rock band from Newcastle upon Tyne, active since 2000, built around vocalist Paul Smith, guitarist Duncan Lloyd and drummer Tom English. Their 2005 debut A Certain Trigger - released on Warp Records and nominated for the Mercury Prize - became a landmark of the mid-2000s post-punk revival, and the band have since released eight studio albums, with 2021's Nature Always Wins reaching number one on the UK Albums Chart.

    Maxïmo Park released a deluxe 20th-anniversary reissue of A Certain Trigger on 31 October 2025, available across single, double and triple LP formats with rarities, B-sides and Missing Songs.

    The band announced a UK headline tour for February 2026 to mark the A Certain Trigger anniversary, with support from Art Brut, running from Glasgow to two hometown shows in Newcastle.

    Maxïmo Park confirmed an Australian tour in April 2026, performing the anniversary record across Fremantle, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney.

    Maxïmo Park guitarist Duncan Lloyd released his 12-track solo album Unwound worldwide via Reveal Records on 11 July 2025.

  • 2024-10

    The band released their eighth studio album Stream of Life on 10 October 2024 via Lower Third, produced with Grammy-winning producer Ben Allen and Burke Reid; it peaked at number 7 on the UK Albums Chart.
