Open'er Festival 2026
One of Europe's largest music festivals featuring headliners like Florence + The Machine, The Cure, and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds performing across multiple stages.
The xx are a London indie-pop trio - Romy Madley Croft, Oliver Sim and Jamie Smith (Jamie xx) - who formed at school in Wandsworth in 2005. Their debut album 'xx' (2009) won the Mercury Prize and defined a generation of listeners with its hushed guitars, interlocking vocals and minimalist production. Two further albums followed - 'Coexist' (2012, UK #1) and 'I See You' (2017, UK #1) - before the band took an extended break during which each member pursued solo work. In 2025-2026 they reunited, performed at Coachella, and began work on a fourth album.
The xx performed at Coachella 2026 (both weekends, April 10 and 17) - their first full shows together since 2018.
The band announced a warm-up show on April 4, 2026, described as their 'first show back in a while', ahead of Coachella.
The xx shared rehearsal footage on Instagram and confirmed they are working on their long-awaited fourth studio album.
All three members appeared together on Jamie xx's single 'Waited All Night' from his album 'In Waves' - the first time since 'I See You' (2017) that the full trio recorded together.
A deluxe edition of the debut album 'xx' was released on Spotify, marking over 15 years since the original.
