This Will Destroy You (TWDY) is an American post-rock band from San Marcos, Texas, active since 2004. They build lengthy instrumental pieces from layers of effects-laden guitar, pushing through quiet ambient passages into crushing dynamic peaks - a sound that draws on shoegaze, drone and doom metal as much as post-rock. Their 2008 self-titled debut broke them into the international underground, and their music has since appeared in several films including the Oscar-winning Moneyball.
