Ty Segall
Ty Segall, a versatile artist known for his experimental approach to rock and psychedelia, performs in Hamburg.
Ty Segall (born 1987, Laguna Beach, California) is an American multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and producer who has built one of the most prolific discographies in contemporary rock - seventeen solo studio albums since 2008, all on Drag City, plus a string of side projects including Fuzz and GØGGS. His music moves fluidly between garage rock, psychedelic rock and lo-fi punk, and his live shows with the Freedom Band are known for their raw, high-energy delivery. Manipulator (2014) was his commercial breakthrough, charting at #45 on the Billboard 200, while Possession (2025) - co-written lyrically with filmmaker Matt Yoka - has been widely praised as one of his most assured records.
Ty Segall released Possession, his 16th solo studio album, on May 30, 2025 via Drag City, with lyrics co-written by filmmaker Matt Yoka.
Segall served as support act on Primus's 'Onward & Upward' US summer tour, playing dates at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, The Salt Shed Chicago and other major venues.
Segall announced a 2026 North American full-band tour running from April 16 to May 12, with 19 dates across the US and Canada.
Segall announced a solo acoustic spring 2025 tour with Mikal Cronin ahead of the Possession release.
A new single, 'Black Paint', appeared on Spotify in 2026, indicating continued recording activity.
