Voo Voo is a Warsaw-based Polish band founded in 1985 by guitarist and songwriter Wojciech Waglewski, whose initials gave the group its name. Their sound weaves rock, folk, jazz and world music together with a strong emphasis on improvisation - a formula that has kept them relevant across four decades. The current lineup of Waglewski, saxophonist Mateusz Pospieszalski, bassist Karim Martusewicz and drummer Michał Bryndal has collaborated internationally with Don Cherry, Esperanza Spalding and Dave Douglas, among others. Multiple Fryderyk Award winners, they have released close to 40 albums and remain one of the most consistently active bands on the Polish scene.
