Armia is a Warsaw-based punk rock band founded in 1984 by vocalist Tomasz Budzyński (ex-Siekiera), guitarist Robert Brylewski (Brygada Kryzys, Izrael) and philosopher Sławomir Gołaszewski. The band stands out on the Polish rock scene for its use of French horn alongside guitars, and for Budzyński's literary lyrics drawing on Dante, Kafka, Rimbaud and the Bible. Their 1991 album Legenda and the 1994 concept album Triodante are widely regarded as classics of Polish rock, and the band has remained active for over four decades.
Armia released their 11th studio album 'Wojna i pokój' in January 2025, followed by a Polish tour.
The 2025 tour in support of 'Wojna i pokój' included dates in Kraków, Opole, Poznań, Warszawa, Zabrze, Szczecin and Gdynia.
In 2024 Armia celebrated their 40th anniversary with a tour performing their 1988 debut album in full; the run sold out and was repeated in autumn.
Armia is scheduled to perform at the Summer Fall Festival in Płock on 28 August 2026, alongside Myslovitz and Dezerter.
