Violent crime appears to be becoming more visible, younger, and more brutal - on school playgrounds, in cities, and in digital spaces. What is fact, what is perception? Journalists Philipp Woldin (political correspondent at WELT/WELT AM SONNTAG, focusing on internal security, migration, and court reporting) and Alexander Dinger (deputy head of Investigation & Reportage at WELT/WELT AM SONNTAG, focusing on crime and social developments) investigate this question and provide insights into current developments and social dynamics.

The Drift Towards Evil and Its Digital Friends

Violence does not emerge from nowhere - instrumental motives are also part of human nature, but are usually regulated by social inhibitions. Digital dynamics can deliberately weaken these inhibitions. The lecture illuminates these processes and focuses on a consistent cause-oriented approach to preventing digital violence. The speaker is Nikolaus Franke, political scientist and educational scientist at RETURN in H
