"...worin noch niemand war" - An Evening About Home

Over 60 years ago, Ernst Bloch wrote in the closing words of his work "Das Prinzip Hoffnung": "So something arises in the world that shines into everyone's childhood and where no one has yet been: home." But what is home, really? What do we mean when we speak of it? Does the concept still matter in a globalized world? Who gets to speak of home, and when - and who may not even be allowed to be there?
Playwright Jörn Klare travelled across the "Ländle" - to its borders and beyond - while developing this world premiere. He met people who have always lived here and those just passing through. Others who want to leave as fast as possible, and some who feel at home nowhere - by choice or by circumstance.
He weaves their stories and fates into a polyphonic theatre evening that tells the story of home in an age of nationalism and the political right turn in a deliberately different way. "'...WORIN NOCH NIEMAND WAR' - Ein Heimatabend" is a genuinely regional commission for the LTT - and precisely for that reason, it takes on a universal dimension.
