That a thinker like Olaf Schubert knows the answer to every question is common knowledge. But now Schubert takes the next big step. He asks questions. Important questions, like "Now or now?". In other words, a question that poses questions itself. That the snake bites its own tail here is the very intention of the artist.

In passing, he created a programme title with an international ring to it. From this we see that Schubert is now multilingual - if not downright bilingual. At the very peak of the globalization iceberg, the whole world opens up to him.

Yet this exceptional artist remains faithful to us, because he also gives concerts in Germany - not many, but roughly 745. This shows he has achieved what only a few manage: to stay down-to-earth despite gigantic success.

He wants to be an Olaf you can touch. Unfortunately, hardly anyone does this, as he recently admitted to a major magazine.

On stage, Schubert reinvents himself completely - and that is precisely why he remains himself. He consistently goes his own way, but he is not one to cross red lines. No - he undermines them.

Yellow lines, on the other hand, he jumps over. This enables him to shift boundaries - even invisible ones - in all directions at once.

How he manages this, he probably doesn't know himself. But to watch him during his show is a magnificent fascination, because even this or that bit of foolishness gets ignited in the process.

That is why almost everyone (even his grandmother) who has ever had the privilege of seeing him live simply says, deeply moved: Thank you, Olaf!
