Björn Heuser - "30 Jahre Jubiläumstour - Kölsches Mitsingkonzert"

The "king of Cologne sing-along" Björn Heuser is back on tour - and this year there's something very special to celebrate!

For thirty years, this charming and quintessentially Cologne songwriter has been on the road, singing together with audiences, writing songs for himself and many other artists from the city, and earning the title "professional Cologne man". That he would ever go from a small pub kid to filling arenas and stadiums is something young Björn probably never imagined when he wrote his first song in 1996 in a makeshift basement studio and spent the next five years bringing people together to sing at small venues - initially alongside his father.

By now, "the man with the hat" has notched up nearly 800 sing-along concerts on Friday nights at the Gaffel am Dom pub, has been filling the LanxessArena for ten years with his "Kölle singt" format - and in 2018 he set the attendance record with 20,216 tickets sold - and is considered a figurehead and pioneer of the now widespread sing-along movement throughout Cologne and Germany. Heuser is the original. He was the first to bring people together to sing Cologne folk songs with just a guitar. In pubs, in beer halls, even regularly in front of fifty thousand people at the Rheinenergie Stadium during the big Christmas sing-along or home games of 1. FC Köln.

Reason enough, then, to celebrate "30 years" with a fitting anniversary tour - and of course a new album! Beyond his role as lead singer, Björn Heuser is also a prolific songwriter for himself (12 studio albums!) and other artists. Unlike the beer hall concerts and party formats, these intimate cabaret evenings are seated, and the focus is not just on singing along but also on listening. Heuser's charming, humorous, and informative introductions and stories about the songs are what make it special! The setlist features the great Cologne hits, but also new songs from his pen.
