Berlin / Los Angeles - "The Music of Hans Zimmer & Others" is a spectacular concert and audiovisual experience for audiences of all ages: film fans, music lovers and families alike. The Hollywood Film Orchestra performs in a stunning show with light installations, laser projections and selected film clips. Star soloists from the original Broadway production will perform excerpts from "The Lion King", Zimmer's most beloved blockbuster.

No other composer has shaped the film world over the past two decades quite like Oscar, Golden Globe and Emmy winner Hans Zimmer, whose scores for James Bond, The Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean, Gladiator, The Dark Knight, Man of Steel, Inception and Interstellar have become iconic.

The celebrated German composer Hans Zimmer, who has scored more than 200 films, won his second Oscar for Dune (2022), having received his first Academy Award for The Lion King (1994).

Zimmer has cited Ennio Morricone as his idol and inspiration - the programme includes excerpts from "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" and "Once Upon a Time in the West". Following Morricone's lead, Zimmer composes his scores before filming rather than after, which shapes the entire production. He famously reworked the opening of Ridley Scott's Gladiator, prompting the director to move into Zimmer's studio.
