An Evening for Olaf Böhme
Olaf Böhme was one of the most beloved Saxon cabaret artists. His character of the "Drunken Saxon" delighted countless audiences. His sketches "Steuererklärung" and "de Muddi" remain fondly remembered to this day.
But how did it all come about? Why does the "Saxon" wear a tie? What exactly was the story with Muddi? Can a cuckoo fit inside a tin can, and why don't lions cook with salt?
The answers to these still-unresolved questions are provided on this evening by a fictional companion of Olaf Böhme. Though the two were never particularly close, they kept crossing paths over the years - usually on a park bench overlooking Dresden, over a hard-boiled egg and a slice of bread with Mettwurst.
This companion has plenty to tell: about misunderstandings, quarrels and reconciliations, about probabilities and riddles, about fishing and tin cans.
The fact that more than a few beloved stories will be pulled out of a plastic bag and brought back to the stage gives reason to hope that a chuckle or a laugh will roll through the room now and then - making this evening what it is meant to be:
A warm tribute to Olaf Böhme - a fond journey through memories and anecdotes; a moment to remember, laugh, and bow. ...weeßte?
